The City Logistics report, prepared by Cushman & Wakefield, reveals how cities and city logistics, and with them logistics real estate strategies, are evolving in a post-pandemic environment. The report's findings will provide valuable guidance on how these and other factors are influencing location and operational decisions for city logistics, both now and in the future.
According to global real estate services firm Cushman & Wakefield, in H1 2020, lease agreements amounting to 55% of last year’s volume were signed in Poland, the Czech Republic, Romania, Slovakia and Hungary, totalling 3.7 million sq m. This is 10% more than in H1 2019.
The year 2017 saw the greatest amount of industrial space built in Europe in its history – more than 3.7 million sq m. This represents a 68% increase over 2016 and a 55% increase over the existing record dating back to 2007 (an additional 1.2 million sq m). The total industrial space in the region has increased by 17% as a result. Such are the results of a survey conducted by Cushman & Wakefield, a company that has been monitoring the industrial property market in the Czech Republic, Slovakia, Poland, Hungary and Romania on a long-term basis.
