SMA Magnetics has leased nearly 14,000 sq m of manufacturing and office space at Goodman Kraków Airport Logistics Centre. The tenant was represented in the transaction by Konrad Jacewicz and Michał Sikora from global real estate services firm Cushman & Wakefield.

SMA Magnetics is the world’s leading provider of solar power technologies. It was founded in 1983 as DTW Sp. z o.o. and renamed SMA Magnetics Sp. z o.o. in 2017. The firm sets new standards in renewable energy technologies. SMA Magnetics manufactures a wide range of induction and electrical components including transformers, chokes and filters.

“Goodman was the only company that met our expectations in terms of both commercial conditions, location and high technical infrastructure requirements in a new location. Their dedicated team assigned to talk with us have strong expertise and guarantee professional project execution,” said Jacek Maciejewski, President of SMA Magnetics.

“SMA Magnetics reported strict and clearly-defined requirements regarding its new location which, first and foremost, was to provide Class A warehouse space close to its current head office and major transportation routes, as well as superior office and welfare facilities. We had presented many offers, including development lands, but the tenant chose to work with Goodman on account of the scheme’s prime location which will help improve employee retention levels,” said Konrad Jacewicz, Senior Negotiator, Industrial and Logistics Agency, Cushman & Wakefield.

“We are pleased to prepare space that will create an optimum growth environment for SMA Magnetics. Goodman’s logistics park is located at a crossroads of Europe’s major transport routes, a guarantee of seamless distribution for our client’s products. And the scale of the project will enable further expansion in the future,” said Jarosław Czechowicz, Head of Portfolio Management for Central and Eastern Europe at Goodman, the park’s owner, developer and property manager.

Goodman Kraków Airport Logistics Centre is located in Modlniczka, next to an exit from Krakow’s ring-road (S7 expressway), one kilometre from the A4 motorway and the administrative boundaries of Krakow. There are already seven buildings sitting on a 31.5-hectare plot. Once fully built out, the park will provide 150,000 sq m.
