Stokrotka expands and invests in bigger warehouse in Wroclaw
Stokrotka was founded in Lublin in 1994. It now operates over 900 stores throughout Poland and continues to expand into new locations. Stokrotka offers a vast array of consumer goods at attractive prices, with a special focus on fresh produce from local suppliers and its own branded products.
The new warehouse location near Wrocław will support the rapid growth of our chain. In Prologis Park Wrocław III we leased far more space than in our previous warehouse providing logistics for our stores in this part of Poland. Prologis’ park has been tailor-made to meet the high requirements of the food sector and offers modern office space supporting the workplace experience of our team, says Daria Raganowicz, PR and External Communication Specialist, Stokrotka.
Development of the Lower Silesian warehouse market
In Prologis Park Wrocław III, Stokrotka has taken occupancy of over 5,800 sq m of warehouse space and over 200 sq m of office space.
Stokrotka’s transaction ideally highlights the pace of growth of the Lower Silesian industrial market. According to the latest data of Cushman & Wakefield, Lower Silesia is in a strong third place, behind Mazovia and Silesia, in terms of occupier activity with more than 560,000 sq m transacted in the year to date. In addition, with over 450,000 sq m of warehouse space under construction, this region is second in the country for development activity, comments Katarzyna Misztal, Negotiator, Industrial & Logistics Agency Poland, Cushman & Wakefield.
We are pleased that our team has contributed to the growth of the local warehouse market by representing Stokrotka – a household name in Poland. We also thank our client for another opportunity to work together towards success, says Kami Żach, Associate, Key Account Executive, Industrial & Logistics Agency, Cushman & Wakefield.
Prologis' largest speculative warehouse
I am proud that Stokrotka will be able to continue on its successful path of growth under the roofs of Prologis. As a result of this deal, there is only one unit remaining available for lease in what is the largest speculative development in the history of Prologis in Poland. This is evidence that the concept of a park designed to ensure supply chain efficiency, sustainability and employee comfort is right. That’s exactly the mix that clients, not only retailers, uncompromisingly expect today, adds Marcin Kruszewski, Leasing and Customer Experience Manager, Prologis.
DC4 of Prologis Park Wrocław III offers 49,000 sq m of modern warehouse space. Benefiting from its proximity to Wrocław Airport, the city’s western ring road and the A8 motorway, it is an ideal logistics park for companies serving both Polish and international markets, including Western European countries. A strategic location, easy access to public transport, functionality and accompanying infrastructure as well as a wide range of amenities for employees make it an ideal place for business growth and a friendly place to work. Similarly to all other new buildings of Prologis, DC4 will also be BREEAM-accredited.
