With 30 years on the market, MEDiVET has been a company of Covetrus, a global leader in animal health technology and services, since 2019. Drawing on its in-depth local market knowledge and unique international expertise, it is committed to improving animal health and wellbeing by providing veterinary practices across Poland with a vast array of medical and veterinary products, veterinary and nutrition-based diets, supplements, surgical instruments, modern diagnostic equipment, as well as services and educational assistance. The space leased by MEDiVET in the logistics centre will accommodate a pharmaceutical wholesale warehouse for medical veterinary products that will serve the Bydgoszcz region and western and northern Poland.
“MEDiVET is relocating its warehouse to Fortress Logistics Park in Bydgoszcz to implement the highest distribution standards and to improve them further in the rapidly changing veterinary sector. This location is also important for ensuring work continuity for our team and expanding our offering of logistics services for our clients,” says Robert Kaszyński, CEO, MEDiVET.
MEDiVET’s new warehouse has an area of almost 6,200 sq m for 40,000 unitized products and offers 4,000 pallet spaces.
“MEDiVET sends out on average more than 1,600 shipments a day, providing same-day deliveries and order fulfilment for veterinary surgeons within 24 hours. The technical and IT solutions allow for round-the-clock control over stored products at temperature ranges of +2°C to +8°C and +15°C to +25°C. Our new warehouse space meets all the European standards for safe pharmaceutical storage and distribution,” says Michał Wadas, Head of Logistics, MEDiVET.
At Fortress Logistics Park Bydgoszcz, MEDiVET leased nearly 6,200 sq m of warehouse space and approx. 400 sq m of office space. The new space is expected to be fully built and delivered to MEDiVET in December 2024, with the relocation scheduled for early 2025 subject to all the required permits and licences.
“The primary objective during the search for the optimal location for MEDiVET was to find a warehouse that would enable our client to provide seamless deliveries and to adapt its space to strict pharmaceutical and veterinary requirements. Such a warehouse must feature various zones, including reception/dispatch areas and storage space. The right temperature is also critical – it should be in the range of +15°C to +25°C, and +2°C to +8°C in cold storage areas. We finally chose Fortress Logistics Park Bydgoszcz. Its convenient location and excellent cooperation with Fortress Logistics Real Estate in tailoring the space to the requirements of MEDiVET will allow for swift project delivery,” explains Konrad Jacewicz, Associate, Industrial Agency, Cushman & Wakefield.
Fortress Logistics Park Bydgoszcz is a modern industrial park suitable for logistics and manufacturing tenants. Located in the eastern part of Bydgoszcz, it will comprise six buildings at full build-out with approximately 90,000 sq m of BREEAM Excellent certified space in total. FLP Bydgoszcz also boasts a prime location - it is situated near the A1 motorway and S10 expressway, allowing for seamless distribution to other Polish regions.
“We are proud that a leading pharmaceutical company MEDiVET has chosen Fortress Logistics Park Bydgoszcz on account of not only its prime location, but also the high quality of its warehouse space. This is a clear signal that our warehouse meets the highest standards. We thank the teams of MEDiVET and Cushman & Wakefield for their strong commitment to the negotiations which will see us hand over the ready-to-occupy space to MEDiVET this year. We hope our collaboration will greatly benefit both parties and contribute the further growth of MEDiVET on the Polish market,” says Aleksander Kobyliński, Associate Director Leasing & Asset Management, Fortress Logistics Real Estate.
