Global real estate services firm Cushman & Wakefield continues to strengthen its warehouse and industrial leasing team with the appointment of Zbigniew Gawęda, an expert with more than 20 years of market experience, who will be responsible for driving business development and expanding its client portfolio in the warehouse and supply chain sector.

“Of all real estate segments, the warehouse and logistics sector in Poland has, in the last four years, gone through the biggest evolution, or rather more of a revolution, driven not only by the pandemic but also by an accelerating nearshoring trend and supply chain optimisation. All these factors have had a significant impact on the needs and challenges of tenants, but above all they are motivating us, advisers, to look for new strategies and more innovative solutions to assist clients in business development. We are, therefore, expanding our Industrial & Logistics team once again and are delighted to welcome Zbyszek Gawęda on board. Zbyszek is an incredibly versatile market expert who will ideally complement our skills base and provide strong support to Cushman & Wakefield clients,” comments Damian Kołata, Partner, Head of Industrial & Logistics/E-Commerce CEE, Cushman & Wakefield.

Zbigniew Gawęda was appointed at Cushman & Wakefield to the position of Associate, Senior Business Development Manager, with responsibility for business development in the Industrial & Logistics sector, providing support in logistics advisory for current and future clients, cooperation with partners in 3PL tendering and coordination of nearshoring processes.

“I am excited to be joining C&W and to be able to draw on my experience from logistics provider-side roles in delivering logistics and warehouse advisory services. I am confident that this will see us even better address the needs of tenants and further enhance our comprehensive suite of services in warehousing and other related areas such as collaboration with logistics providers, logistics service tendering, nearshoring or simply transition management,” says Zbigniew Gawęda, Associate, Senior Business Development Manager, Cushman & Wakefield.

Prior to joining Cushman & Wakefield, Zbigniew worked in the tobacco industry and pharmaceutical distribution, where he led process and quality optimisation projects. He also has a strong track record in assisting international companies in their entry and expansion into the Polish industrial market and has more than 10 years of experience in business development for leading logistics providers. Zbigniew is an e-commerce expert, a co-founder of the eCommerce Logistics Experts Association, a co-organiser of business conferences and meetings, and a moderator and participant of discussion panels at industry conferences.

Zbigniew Gawęda holds an MBA from Warsaw University and is a graduate of Kozminski University and the University of Economics in Katowice.
