Panattoni, has received a €27.5 million loan to finance Action's distribution center in Zakroczym. The facility, developed in the BTS (build-to-suit) formula, will serve the chain's 160 stores and employ about 300 people.

Financial support from Berlin Hyp

Thanks to a loan obtained from Berlin Hyp, Panattoni will finance a new distribution facility for the Action chain. The facility will store a full range of non-food products and will benefit from an office segment of nearly 3,000 sqm.

„The distribution center in Zakroczym is Action's thirteenth such facility in Europe and the third in Poland. Two of the domestic investments were successfully completed by Panattoni. The financing obtained from Berlin Hyp bank demonstrates the confidence of financial institutions in our realizations for the extremely growing non-food discount segment,”  – says Karina Trojańska, Chief Financing & Operating Officer at Panattoni.

Innovative green technologies

The investment, which covered 53,000 sq m. of space, will pass environmental certification using the BREEAM method at the Excellent level.

The distribution center in Zakroczym will use sustainable solutions, such as solar panels for water heating, smart energy and water meters, as well as modern and energy-saving lighting. The company's employees will also benefit from an electric car charging station.

BTS investment

The demand for BTS is growing every year. Tailoring not only to technology or green solutions, but also to location and other individual requirements allows companies to grow quickly.
